About the Role

Teacher Assistants are responsible for:

Assisting with, Implementation of the center curriculum, guided by the early learning content standards to develop lifelong learners in a professional, safe, nurturing manner at the direction of the Teacher and Lead teacher.
Continuing to be learners, completing all required initial trainings and course requirements including twenty hours biannually of Ohio approved hours trainings.
Complete all apprenticeship requirements
Provide a clean and developmentally appropriate environment.
Assist with developmental screenings. (Utilizing Ages & Stages).
Assist with writing and implementing lesson plans guided by the early learning content standards and blended with the center curriculum.
Assist with performing assessments utilizing, Teaching Strategy Gold.
Continual parent communication/Parent conferences/transition meetings
Understand and implement Step Up to Quality guidelines
Ensuring compliance for all monitoring agencies, including all CACFP duties (this includes cleaning kitchen)
Ensuring positive involvement and communication with parents and families
Working cooperatively within the community.
Meeting each individual child’s needs with documentation (including toileting)
Most importantly, creating a positive, safe, learning environment in their classrooms, developing students who are lifelong learners.

Requirements

A High School Diploma and CDA/ or Enrollment into the Paid CDA Apprenticeship
